Custom Indoor Batting Cage Arrays

A batting cage array combines tracked netting with a Shell Containment System to create flexible indoor batting-cage lanes. This versatile multi-lane batting cage system is a reconfigurable middle option between permanent fixed cages and premium motorized systems. You can rearrange your batting cage system to match the lane configurations each session requires, splitting your space into halves, thirds or individual batting-cage bays while supporting ball containment and spectator separation.

Grand Slam Safety designs custom batting cage arrays built around your sport mix, building conditions and training goals.

Flexible Walk-Draw Track Systems

Walk-draw batting cage systems use tracked or cable-guided netting that moves along an overhead track. You can open, close or reposition indoor batting cage lanes between sessions using manual adjustments. When paired with the Shell Containment System, a four-sided perimeter system with canopy netting that fully encloses the area, you can adjust how the space is divided.

For facilities that manage tight schedules or serve athletes across multiple age groups and skill levels, this reconfigurable design provides value. One session might need two wide lanes for team practice, while the next requires four narrow batting cage bays for individual skill work.

Custom Engineering for Your Facility

Each batting cage array is custom-engineered to your building's unique footprint and structural conditions. Our team can:

  • Account for ceiling height, column placement, lighting, and HVAC systems.

  • Design layouts that make efficient use of available space.

  • Adjust common cage dimensions, such as 70 feet long, 14 feet wide, and 12 feet high, to fit your square footage.

  • Recommend tracked or cable systems based on your building's support structure.

  • Customize netting weight, divider curtains, and mesh options.

Our SPECTO® fencing uses see-through mesh and steel construction to support visibility for spectators and coaches while helping separate activity areas. The Shell Containment System helps keep balls and equipment within designated training areas, supporting spectator separation and facility safety planning. How Batting Cage Arrays Compare

A batting cage array sits between fixed cages and VISTA motorized curtains. In a good-better-best lineup:

A batting cage array is right for your space when you want flexibility beyond fixed systems and prefer manual control over motorized automation.

Two Track Options for Different Sports

Grand Slam Safety offers two distinct walk-draw track systems engineered for different impact requirements:

GSS Walk-Draw Track for Baseball and Softball

Built for higher-impact sports, this heavy-duty system handles ball-collision forces in baseball and softball training:

  • Enclosed wheels: Designed for the higher-impact ball collisions common in baseball and softball facilities.

  • Impact control: Designed to help manage ball impact and protect track and netting performance over time.

  • Best fit: Recommended for commercial batting cage systems where baseballs or softballs will be used.

ADC Walk-Draw Track for Other Sports

Designed for lower ball-impact requirements, this system provides smooth walk-draw functionality:

  • Exposed wheels: Provide a smoother, easier-walking feel for operators.

  • Lower-impact use: A fit for lacrosse, soccer, field hockey, and other sports with lower ball-impact requirements.

  • Multi-sport use: Provide walk-draw functionality where baseball and softball impact resistance is not required.

Both track systems can be customized to your facility's sport mix, layout and building conditions.
